First Time in a Gym in Over a Year


10/15/18: Today was my first day at GCP (Game Changing Performance) in Mundelein. Wow, what a workout!

I was in the 5:30am class and we did rotations of holding a kettle bell, chest presses with free weights while lying on my back, burpees, ball throws and jumping jacks. All for 30 seconds each with rest in between, four sets.

Then we did six minutes of do your best at 10 reps of: push ups, bootstrappers, crunches and glute holds. I did about two-and-a-half sets. It was a class of mostly women and two other men. There were about 25 of us there.

I got my ass kicked and will be very sore tomorrow. Great workout!

It's good to be back in the gym and it's good to check it off the list first thing in the morning. Since I was anxious about it I didn't fall asleep until about 1:30am so that didn't help either. I'm doing this special four week course that includes nutrition coaching for three sessions a week and $150.
